DON’T CALL ME GROUPIE

above: A story book that I made to explore my idenity as a woman who is in a realtionship with a man that is involved with hardcore. And the classic “groupie” troupe that we recognize as a soicety. I use humor to explore what this means to me and what I am able to wittness while in the role of “girlfriend”

below: This is a fictional sorority that I created, Gamma Epsilon Gamma or GEG my monogram. In this I added famous women and gave them a mock role in this house. I used this work to playfully poke fun at the deep rooted misogyny and racism so often seen in Greek life. But rather than wag my finger and scold I wanted to create a work that shows how fun life can be when everyone is included.
